Important Dates and Deadlines

In an effort to provide you with an abbreviated list of information to consider during the quarter, we have consolidated a list of important dates and deadlines. We hope you will utilize this information as a guide.

Important Dates and Deadlines - Spring Quarter

Week 1:

  • ‘College Degree Application’ available on the student portal, my.uchicago.edu
  • Students must apply to graduate via the student portal no later than the end of the first week of the quarter in which they wish to graduate (5:00 pm Friday cut-off): my.uchicago.edu
  • Students who borrowed federal student loans are required to complete an exit counseling session before graduation or during your last quarter of at least half time enrollment.

Week 5:

  • Withdrawing of degree applications (must be done by end of week to avoid $50 cancellation fee)

Week 8:

  • Students who borrowed federal student loans are required to complete an exit counseling session before graduation or during your last quarter of at least half time enrollment.
  • Senior Week ticket sales begin.

Week 9:

  • All financial obligations must be settled of ninth week of each Quarter (eighth week in Summer)
  • Academic records with marks of I, Q, or no grade that are required for bachelor’s degree must be replaced with an actual grade. Completed course work and passing grade due by 3:00 PM, Friday, of ninth week (eighth in Summer)

Week 10: Senior Week

  • Senior Week runs from Sunday, June 4 through Thursday, June 8, 2017.
  • Make sure to submit your donation to Senior Class Gift by
    Friday, June 9, 2017.
  • The kick-off of Convocation begins on Friday, June 9, 2017 at 2:00 PM with Class Day, a celebration of the class's accomplishments and achievements, followed by a dessert reception for the Class of 2017, their families, and guests at the Museum of Science and Industry at 7:30 PM. Parking at the museum is free for this event, and tickets are not required.
