College graduation is an important and exciting time for students and their families. In an effort to help families to focus on the celebratory aspects of this occasion, we offer this information to help you negotiate your student’s last few days on campus. 

The University will prepare a brochure of information pertaining to the 531st Convocation, which you should receive via mail in early spring. It is important that families work with their student to make sure that all pertinent mailing addresses are updated appropriately in the student's student portal. Please note that this information pertains to events for students in the College. For information on graduate division events, please visit the University’s Convocation website.

Convocation Events and Schedule - Spring 2018

Friday, June 8th   
2:00 - 4:00 PM: Class Day - a celebration of the Class' accomplishments and achievements.

7:30 - 10:30 PM: Senior Class Reception at the Museum of Science and Industry (remarks by John W. Boyer will begin at 8:30 PM). No tickets required. Parking is free at the museum.

  • All events are non-ticketed, although students will be asked in May to estimate the number of guests for all events.
  • Graduates and their families may be invited to additional ceremonies and receptions at times outside of this schedule.
